New Gelli Print

I recently went to New Zealand to see my son and did some printing of very large ferns, and the smaller silver ferns whilst out there.

This is a detail from a large gelli plate piece of work printed on soft lawn cotton with embroidery on top. I used ferns and dandelion leaves from my garden and floral wood block prints impressed on the surface.

The ferns printed beautifully off the gelatin plate and the ghost ones in particular. I included some dandelion leaves and floral wood block impressions pressed on top and from behind too.
